The White Cockatoo does not usually respond directly to erroneous & false allegations made against the resort itself, or us personally as the proprietors.
However, After much prompting, by numerous people,
we have decided to respond to one such silly allegation made by David & Bernadette Rayner from Canada.
Rather than give any credit to Rayners articles, published in numerous places, by further publishing the total content here...
It is thought sufficient to publish the basics with The White Cockatoo's response to such.
David Rayner "says" :
"I take responsibility for breaking several of the resorts rules;
The resort is not clothing optional. We broke a rule when we wore clothes in sight of nude guests while my wife had a smoke on the verandah."
The White Cockatoo's response : Correct, And Rayner ignored the proprietor when initially politely asked to either go inside, or get nude!
David Rayner "says" :
"No photographs are to be taken without permission. I took photos of the (vacant) pool and common areas, close ups of some of the palms and flowers, as well as... without our hosts being with me, or advising them that I wanted to take the photos..."
The White Cockatoo's response : Correct, And photos Rayner had taken, without the proprietors permission were discovered when the proprietor offered to burn Rayners camera memory card to disk free of charge, and was offered the opportunity to view Rayners pics to see if any were of use!
David Rayner "says" :
"I erroneously assumed that I could take photos freely, as I had done while spaces were vacant at other nude facilities, as reminders of the lay out and any unique plants or birds, to enable me to sketch and paint them once we got home, and share our happy holiday memories with friends who
might enquire about our experiences.
The White Cockatoo's response : Incorrect, Never without consultation with management or proprietors if photo rules apply!
David Rayner "says"
"No unregistered guests are allowed on the property. I invited people who had been guests for two weeks to enter our unit after they had "checked out"."
The White Cockatoo's response : Correct, And the unregistered guests Rayner invited back on to the property, without any consultation with the proprietors, were already persona-non-gratis which he clearly knew.
David Rayner "says"
"Everywhere else we have ever stayed, from Youth Hostels to 5 Diamond resorts have made it their business to know if we needed a place to store our bags and freshen up before catching our ongoing transportation or flight home on the last day. We have always been encouraged to make full use of the amenities and grounds until we depart, and can purchase refreshments for cash or on our credit cards after our account is closed off. These firms also do not require that you pay your full stay in advance, nor threaten you with a no refund eviction for infractions of their rules in the guest compendium booklet."
The White Cockatoo's response : Incorrect, Never without consultation with management or proprietors! Every reputable property has a designated check out time, have rules which it is assumed will be obeyed, and where payment upon arrival is the norm. Most of which is always flexible, but only with consultation.
David Rayner "says"
"The issue at the White Cockatoo however is not the rules. If you are aware of them and carefully follow them you may not have a problem."
The White Cockatoo's response : The issue is The White Cockatoo having to tolerate fools such as this!
