In 1973 Mr Cor Uytenhaak, from the Netherlands,
designed the "Symbol of the Naturist".
After doing so Cor's thought was to then create a piece of jewellery
that is not only beautiful to wear,
but also a symbol of recognition worldwide. And he succeeded!
There are now tens of thousands of nudists,
both in the Netherlands and abroad, who wear the symbol.
The White Cockatoo has been proud to be associated with Cor's family
since 2002 in the promotion and distribution
of Nudist Symbol merchandise in Australasia,
with many hundreds of items sold to proud Australasian Nudists in that time.
It is with great sadness we report the passing of Cor on 5th January 2005.
We and Nudists worldwide extend our deepest sympathies to Cor's family.
Cor's family will in some way continue his lifes work,
in future manufacture of Nudist Symbol Merchandise.
