The White Cockatoo has operated with two very distinct and successful seasons of operation since May 2002.
One season operating as a conventional family resort - 1st May to 30th September.
One season operating as a Nudist Resort - 1st October to 30th April.
After 6 years The White Cockatoo has now made some slight changes to operation methods valid until 1st October 2009.
Currently until 30th September '08 - The White Cockatoo is Operating Primarily as a Conventional Fully Clothed Family Resort.
From 1st October '08 until 1st March '09 - The White Cockatoo Will Operate Primarily as a Nudist Resort - Not Clothing Optional.
For the Month of March Only '09 - A Totally Clothing Optional Adults Only Month with Almost No Rules Applicable.
From 1st April to 30th September '09 - The White Cockatoo will Operate Primarily as a Conventional Fully Clothed Family Resort.
Please be aware that no matter the season non-nudists will never encounter nude people, nor will nudists privacy be invaded by clothed people.
Each season, and method of operation, @ The White Cockatoo is completely separate to each other with no overlaps
and seasons should not be confused with each other.
We are frequently asked why we operate in this manner and we hope the below provides some explanation.
There are 2 main reasons for this :
The most important reason is that our peak tourist season in this area is between May and October
with our resort being almost totally booked out every night during these months with the clothed market.
As our resort is a business, providing our livelihood, we'd be a little silly in turning away this level of business just to be nude!
Secondly, Our resort is strictly Nude Only during the nude season, rather than clothing optional.
While we understand this may not be everybody's cup of tea, Nudists are our target market during this season,
and Nudists simply don't wear clothes when able, and appropriate.
Between October and April our climate is absolutely perfect for our Nude Only philosophy,
with the average daily temperature being 30C, and night times averaging 25C,
thus enabling no clothes 24 hours a day during these months.
Unfortunately between April and October we get days down to 22C, which is not such a problem,
but during the evenings we occasionally drop to 12C, and even we feel the need to rug up during these months.
Therefore it is rather difficult to be Nude during these months.
